Disruption recovery
Could someone please summarize what criteria are required for a unit to be eligible for recovery from disruption or broken status. I'm not referring to the command check but it terms of movement, have fired that turn, etc.
For instance, the rule book has a section under fatigue recovery (Pg 56) that states "In order for a unit to be eligible for Fatigue recovery, the unit must not move, fire, assault, be fired upon, or be assaulted for a complete game turn. It must also not be digging-in, building a bridge, or be in a minefield." Do these same criteria apply to Disruption recovery?

RE: Disruption recovery
I agree Rick. Units can even self-rally. If the unit is in command range of the unit's parent HQ it can recover from disruption/broken status easier. The idea here DDD, is that if you meet the fatigue recovery requirements, then then units will recover faster as lower fatigue helps make a unit be more useful when it rallies. If threatened, the unit can move to a better position if you want and still have a chance to recover from disruption/broken status.

RE: Disruption recovery
All very clear from you guys, as usual. Do you have some clarifications about recovering losses? I initially thought that losses were recovered according to the same rules as for fatigue recovery, but it looks as if units can move and still recover losses. What are the conditions for recovery of losses?

RE: Disruption recovery
Thanks for the info guys. It would appear that I have been playing under some false assumptions about disruption recovery. I'll have to change my play accordingly.

RE: Disruption recovery
You cannot be fired upon, or be doing anything like patrolling or digging in or expend any movement on anything, if you want to recover losses. You can be adjacent to the enemy, as long as he doesnt shoot at you. I dont think you even have to get a result. As well..you have to be in range of your parent HQ, and not be Broken.
As for disruption, just last night, I multi-assaulted a pile of French and reduced them down to 2 Isolated/Low ammo/Disrupted at Max Fatigue. Their HQ was too far away, yet they were in good order on my next turn.
50% chance to get a morale check....1 in 6 chance to pass...
Note that the distance check to the HQ always passes if you are stacked with it.

RE: Disruption recovery
Yeah...I know for sure you have to be in your command range of your parent HQ...it doesnt have to be In Command though. I think your right about the patrolling unit receiving replacements. Think I noticed it once myself. And I am playing the Germans in Normandy, on turn 83 :) and I have a fair bit of wrecked flak units that are waiting for Army Group B to show up as that is their parent HQ.
