PBEM Campaign Idea Re: Captured Equipment
Generally, I don't allow the use of captured equipment in PBEM battles.

But I had an idea for an optional 'preference' for PBEM campaigns:

Captured equipment: You may purchase an enemy vehicle or crewed gun that surrendered, was abandoned or immobilised, and ended a previous battle undestroyed and overrun.

By 'overrun' I mean either cut off, surrounded, or generally under your control.

I just added this to my Word doc of standard preferences that I send over to PBEM opponents.

Would you agree to it?

Sounds like a nice add! I'd agree to that rule.

In our current ongoing campaign I anticipate having much equipment over run and captured but I will also agree to the rule.
I'm setting our newest camp battle today and will get the file to you asap. I'm hungry and will now go overrun a field kitchen.

Lol. In our latest battle the only thing I captured was a beat up Horch truck. Perhaps I should search it for food.

But now that you've agreed to the rule, the word is out in the 2nd battalion that the CO will allow them to use any equipment they can capture. They are taking wagers on who will be first to get themselves a Panzer, and are discussing tactics on how this can be accomplished. Big Grin

On a slightly different tac, I suppose this rule could also be used by those playing campaigns against the AI.
