I think it was an over sight. I think with such a big push by Russian forces in an area would cause the Germans to divert some air units,even if was the chance just to knock out more AFV,s .
Its a very good battle even with out the air cover

I think you are right Brian, wait for Mike, but he has not been in touch for a long time. OTOH the bright side is the fact that Al and Keith seem to be having a good battle.... regardless of air:;)
