The centre battle is down to the last 3 minutes. I am finding the same thing - either my opponent is saving his forces, or has very little in the first place. Lol, I better keep quiet - maybe he is saving everything for the last few minutes! Even if he is, the most I will allow him to target will be a few T-70s. I actually hope he does, as I should be able to reply with my 50mm mortars.

Herroberst, are there any other battles waiting to be completed?

I have my email back up and running so I will be looking at the games that have finished so far and posting the results.

We're at turn 28, and I'm finally taking some mortar fire, and a gun has popped up targeting a T-70. I might just have time to get some 50mm mortar fire onto it before the game ends...

Yes, these Germans are cunning. I was about to say cowardly, but I guess I was the one who spent the last 28 minutes creeping through the trees! :laughing:

I was just admiring Ratzki's rendition of the Google Earth map;



For example, in the area of the insert above, his CM map looks thusly (blue = my main force, pink = wimpy units to hold flags, green X = my T-70 that went deep and is still intact!);

I hope my screenshots have done them justice, but I a lot of time obviously went into Ratzki's maps. I'm really enjoying them as a participant, and hope as many CMers as possible are able to appreciate his work.

Here is your forces update for the end of Day 1.
I will be generating the next reinforcement page and posting it tomorrow evening. Sorry for the delay, had a family emergency. Back on track to get the next day's battles under way.

There is no night combat and movement is limited. I will be getting the new reinforcement sheet out tomorrow .

Here is the Russian reinforcement selection page for the morning of Dec. 24th. Your side will have until October 17th to give me your selection and movement orders for the morning of Dec. 24th. Movement is down to a crawl during the evening so I will be combining the night and morning into one phase.
Again, if this is completed by both sides before the deadline, then I will be able to start on any maps that are needed and the battle(s) will start earlier as well.

Hi Ratzki;

Good to get going again on your tournament. I hope everything went as well as could be hoped with your family situation.

One question (so far;)) - I don't see any armour (besides armoured cars) available on the Soviet reinforcement table. Is that intentional? Just curious.
