CS Thread Quality
Gents: :smoke:

IMHO, we are seeing more quality threads and posts by players! :)

I did a rough count... in just the past month... there have been 6-10 "non-generic" threads that have had some great discussion points! Big Grin

For example, "Surviving IS-2s?" morphed from a question on how to deal with Russian heavy tanks to a full blown discussion on armor facing and tactics.

"Tankettes - How Useful in CS" produced good tactics on utilizing tankettes in CS... and how they were employed in real combat.

"Combined Unit Fire" examined the merits of using "combo" fire versus individual unit fire... and when best to consider using this attack method.

Good stuff! :cool2:

IMO, these "diamonds in the rough" are just the kind of threads to engage players... and make the CS Blitz forums that much better!

Good threads... interesting discussion points... and we all learn a little more on how to improve our game play? :chin:

Win-win in my book! :smoke:

Damn half-tracks

Read those opinions many times.

Finally decided how to use them based upon what I would do if I were in actual command of them in a real life situation.

Block roads, Spotters, Assault in combination with other units, reserve as transports (while I exit or hide my trucks and other unarmed transports depending upon prior agreement with opponent).

It simply comes down to the fact that they are armed, have defensive capability and an assault factor.

Lord knows I have had to deal with infantry units with no greater values than a half-track.

Peter and Chuck:

I would greatly appreciate if you gents would stop hijacking my thread... and stay on subject... which is discussing CS thread quality.

May I suggest if you wish to discuss halftracks or any other subject that has nothing to do with this thread... that you start your own? :chin:

That way... folks who wish to contribute to this thread may do so... and others who want to discuss halftracks and other subjects, can gravitate over to your thread?

Please note that I am not interested in starting a "flame war" here... but the two of you are exhibiting rather poor forum etiquette.

Thanks for your understanding.
