An Apology
Gents:

I apologize to Peter and Chuck (and everyone else) for my recent remarks in the "CS Thread Quality" thread.

The remarks were inappropriate and I am sorry that I posted them.

I will strive to do better in the future.

Work has gotten very stressful for me... my job is going through a "restructure" and I'm working long hours to "reinvent" myself... need to get it right... or I may be looking for another job?

I will take a "timeout" from the Blitz forums for the next few months so I can refocus on what brings the milk and butter into our household.

Peter had an excellent suggestion for me... "Silence is Golden"... and I will practice it!

Please keep posting those "non-generic" threads gents! Good stuff!

RE: An Apology
Hi Mike,
I also apologise for my remarks to you, no big deal though buddy, these things will continue to happen in the Forum, in a virtual world, even if it costs me 20% warning level, lol!

Many of us have these 'real life' problems and obviously they can spill out on a forum where we come to relax and enjoy, only to get 'jibed' at for our remarks.

I truly hope all goes well with the job, Mike, obviously the household takes precedence over this site, but, try as I do, pop in now and then, see whats going on,and keep in touch.

Attempting to practice what I preached in a previous post long ago, '' A public apology is all that maybe required when one feels they were out of order, if that happens, the mods shouldn't need to be involved?'

For what it's worth, I consider you made an outstanding apology and I hope my reply will be treated as such, as well.

Take care, Mike,

RE: An Apology
Self control and apologies are most welcome when they are warranted. It makes the job of the ladder commander much easier.

I've found that when I'm in the heat of the moment, step back, don't post, then come back the next day. I think that about 99% of the time I will write something much more reasonable. Also, don't assume the worst of the person posting in opposition.

If work takes focus away, that is understood. Self exile from something you hopefully enjoy isn't the way to go IMO. We all need a break from the daily grind of life, which is pretty much the point of the club for all of us. We just need to moderate our time here so that it doesn't get in the way of the things we need to take care of for our families.

I'm slowly clearing the deck at home, so I can get my games re-started. I think I'm close to coming back to action. Moving is a big deal and keeps me busy with real world issues at the moment. However, I finally think I'm going to get a big worry off my back because I finally got an offer on my house in Texas this weekend. That is one more thing just about out of the way. I still have some things to take care of to get things set up here, but it's all going through okay.

RE: An Apology
Good advice Jim! I'll try to discipline myself accordingly, lol!
As I said in the thread, we all come here to enjoy, forget the real life issues, for a while. Also, as you say, if we, including me, consider the 'other person' to actually be a nice guy, perhaps our posts would be better constructed?
Btw, hope all goes well with the house, otherwise we may get a blast in our ears cos you're p***ed off lol!

RE: An Apology
Hi Mike,
No apology nessasary my friend, we all get caught up in a moment and post 1st and think later. I'll admit my fault of pushing the line to see if I could get a negative response from you. I apolgize to you and the other people here !!! I knew my response was within the limits but at the same time streached the limits.

Chuck
