The VASSAL engine works fine for digital online boardgaming.

Combined with Skype you can experience the full boardgaming atmosphere.

Well, you can count me in on that, Jolly! C & C is a fine game system with a lot of subtlety and Vassal is easy to use. I'd encourage everybody to have a look.

I think too that some of the rules from C&C might be profitably adapted to AW, specifically the leader evasion rules.....
