c_Question Mark  cs and vista business
Hi guys,

I know it sounds strange to ask question 101 about vista when windows seven is already released

but hey, I have this company laptop anyway and it is not against my employers policy

but CS didn't start with vista, (screen turns black etc..) can someone tell me what do ?

thanks
Remko

This one?

I tried this at the time I tried to sort out my map editor prob with W7.

Hope this helps.

EDIT: I see you're sorted out already. Was it this setting that helped you? I still haven't sorted my scrolling issue but it is not a big thing...

I meant that I've found the compatibility mode , not the values that need to be set (yet)
but let me check the url first

thanks

RE: cs and vista business
If you are using 64 bit Vista that may be your problem, down grade to 32 bit and all should be fine, I have vista 32 bit. Or you could go back to XP should work fine also. Compatibility Mode can be found by right clicking on the CS icon on your desk top and click on Compatibility, then click on the blank box and just pick what Operating System you whant to play the game in, there should be no values that you have to set.

There is no need to downgrade. I have both vista versions, (32 on laptop and 64 on PC) and both works fine. You need to tick in settings 'disable desktop composition'.
