Soccer World Cup

RE: Soccer World Cup
HiHi

Mentioning games I play Sega 'Football Manager 08' and when the Italian announced his team I just groaned, I wouldn't have James or Green as a goalee in any of my teams.

Now here's an irony, a couple of years ago in a game I was playing I got made the England manager (worked my way up from league 1 Notts Forest) and took a much better England team to SA having topped our qualifying group and with a very good Goal difference, all in all an excellent team ... they didn't get passed the 1st round and only scored 2 goals 1 of those a penalty :eek1: , still at least the manager was English.

Glint, from what I saw of the way the English team played, "flicking their arse" could have had a very serious negative effect on their Intelligence levels ie their arse is obviously where they keep their Brains!

Interesting tidbit......

Bookmakers in England were on the hook for for 200 million USD if England went on to win the World Cup. No mention how much the bookies cleaned up when England lost. I will guess it was no small change. This WC has already passed the one four years ago in total currency bet and there are still the bigger betting rounds to go!

Hopefully the gutless shits we have representing us in SA this year can actually do something for their country or at the very least put up some kind of a fight.

How about this? Classic! :P

Listen to me, I don't want to be cruel,
They're only here because of Henry's handball

This one's pretty good as well :)

RE: Soccer World Cup
Tomorrow will be a great day when we kick the Brazilians out of the World Cup, just like in 1974.

HiHi

Congrats, no mean feat beating Brazil; now if Germany can "Beat the Cheat" (Looking Good at 3-0 Big Grin ) that would also be a "Goodthing".

RE: Soccer World Cup
Ok we (the Dutch) made it to the FINAL, so please bring on the Germans so we our chance to erase the shame of 1974. Don't get me wrong
If we loose then it is still ok with me, as long as it is not the Holzenbeiner way through diving (schwalbe)
