Log in Question
When I first enter the Club there is an area where the old log-in and other "CP" info is still listed. I'm logged in because it says "Welcome Back, Reddog". At the top of the screen it says "Welcome Guest". When I open a message on the board and look at the top of the screen I'm still listed as a "Guest". I have to go to that top screen area and log-in again.

Is that the way it's suppose to work? Do I have to log in twice or do I just have to log in on the top screen area?

I'm not even sure if this is the right area to be posting this stuff... I'm just having one of those rough days I guess?

Any help or at least point me in the right direction to get help... thx.
Good Hunting,
Reddog

RE: Log in Question
Reddog,

You have it right. If you see guest at anytime you have to log in. Apparently we still have a club field and forum field that both require loggins.

RE: Log in Question
I generally find that if I login at the top of the page, it automatically logs me into the forums as well, but if I do it the other way (log into the forum first) I have to log in twice.

If that is not working for you, maybe there is a setting somewhere?

RE: Log in Question
Like Mike i have found that logging in at the top RH corner of the screen also logs me into the forum area, but it does not seem to work the other way round?

Also every now and then i find myself logged out of the main site (top RH corner), no idea why this is?

The two log in's is something we would love to get rid of but because of an issue with the MYBB forum software we cant! :hissy: :(

RE: Log in Question
Logging in to the main site, (upper right hand corner) gives a member full site access including automatically logged into the forums.

The only case where this would not happen is if you have not visited the site in a real long time and still have cookies or a bookmark that takes you directly to the forums log in instead of the main page log in.

RE: Log in Question
Depending on what tools you have running for your computer maintenance, you may find that, after a maintenance scheduled run, your cookies have been deleted as 'clutter'.
Every now and then I have to log-in again because I've automatically 'cleaned-up' the computer.

Personally, I like the "new" MB... but "new" is relatively speaking since we have been using the current MB for over 10 months! ;)

Some of the features I like include the following:

My Modules: I can customize how my page interface looks.

My Files: I can upload files directly to the Blitz where they are assigned a URL - no more having to use third party Web sites like Photobucket.

My Away Status: I utilize this feature each time I leave on vacation or am out of town for extended time periods.

Also, having been involved in Web design work and interfaces... I understand the amount of work, time, and effort that goes into such projects!

So, I would like to again extend a BIG THANK-YOU to Webmaster Razvan Chis... and all the Blitz officers who assisted in the "new" MB project! cheers

RE: Log in Question
Mike, I am in total agreement with you.
Having surfed many a web site, I find the Blitz site to be well done. :chin:

Sorry that others don't care for the forum or loggin system. But, it is still one of the easiest to navigate that I have seen. :smoke:

I give kudos to Raz and the webmasters for the work they have done. First class effort, IMO!

cheers
