Scenario Database (G-4 Supply)
A useful featureof the old DB was the inclusion of the scenario file name in a searchable way. Perhaps this could be redone.

Not sure what you are getting at here? :conf:

The "Search Scenarios" function (located under the Scenario Database (G-4 Supply) allows players to search scenarios by "name." It also allows searches by "ladder"... "author"... "game rating"... "number of turns"... "size modifier" AND then allows results to be sorted by another 6 or so variables. Seems pretty comprehensive? :chin:

Clear enough to me. The scenario file name is what it says it is...Battleaxe.scn for example. However, many scenario file names do not reflect the scenario name. WF.... Abbeville.scn....Panzer Thrust (eg) displays this.
I am merely asking for the reinstatement of a useful facility. Given the idea of a Scenario of the month, it might help those wishing to view the files of any scn.

Well... it was not clear to me... that's why I asked you. :conf:

Ok. So you want designers to better label their scenario files to identify the battle - correct? :chin:

From former times I remember the feature to sort the scenarios by date.
This was quite helpful when you were looking for scenarios of
a particular campaign or time frame.

Actually... that feature is currently available!

You can order your search results by "Scenario Date" and "Ascending"... and that will give you a list of scenarios in chronological order - provided the designer entered the scenario date in the correct format: e.g. 20 January 1935.

You may also order your search results by: Name, Author, Rating, Games Played, H2H Approved, Downloads, Turns, SM, Side 1 Wins, Side 2 Wins, Draws.

Lots of options when using the Scenario Search tool.

"Lots of options when using the Scenario Search tool."
Indeed...but not the option for a fundamental parameter.... the Scenario file name..... which was available in the old dB. It only needs a slot added to the data sheet, made searchable.
