What HPS Napoleonic game for playing vs. A.I.?
I am just getting into the HPS Napoleonics and Civil War games. And possibly Musket & Pike.

What Nappy games have the most single player scenarios designed for play vs. the A.I.?

I know Austerlitz says it has over 50 scenarios, so I'm getting that one for sure. What about Jena, which is the other one I'm currently interested in? Any solo scenarios in there?

Of course, I'll be playing PBEM once I learn the system. :o)

Thanks!

Jena does have some solo scenarios. But basically the AI is truly dreadful and you won't learn much. After learning the basics I'd go for pbem asap! The Nappy clubs have a training facility whereby newbies aren't thrown to the sharks from the outset.

Where do I find these clubs, please, other than the one right here on the Blitz?

Napoleonic wargame Club http://www.wargame.ch/wc/nwc/Napann1.htm

International Napoleonic wargame Club http://battleground-club.de/

Musket and Pike club http://www.wargameing.co.uk/

No harm in joining both. As it happens I train the Anglo army in NWC and anyone in the INWC. Training means you aren't going to be immediately picked on by stronger players out to score easy points, something which can put newcomers off pretty quickly. Musket and Pike is a cross between Napoleonics and a bar room brawl, great fun.

Email me if you want to play a small training-only game.
