US 5" Naval Rockets
In the same scenario which I had trouble with the US Battleships, I placed US 5" Naval Rockets in the scenario. Started the game to test part of the scenario. The Rockets seem to be in some type of Naval vessel, but when I try to plot them, I get a error message that the Rockets can not fire from water :) nor does this unit have a movement factor, and can not move in the water. I tried loading them in Landing Craft and even the Battleship, but they still will not fire. The only place they will fire from is on land :) but this is a navel rocket unit and can not get on land, and even though I placed them on land to find out they can fire from land, they still have no movement factor. The only information in the unit handbook about this unit is that it has a range of 43? and that they are 5" naval rockets. Lastly, the fire cost for this unit is only 20 which means it can fire 5 times in one turn. Any Ideas?

RE: US 5" Naval Rockets
In a beach landing scenario that I am playing the designer put islands off shore to simulate naval units. Looks funny, but it should work.

Try placing them as offboard artillery.
That should work.
Thanx!

Here is a good site The range max should be about 12 hexes...3 km
www.combinedops.com/US LANDING CRAFT ROCKET.htm
I tried to do a link, but it printed all funny stuff like % signs. Is that how it should be?
Presumably, whoever put this force element in the game is trying to describe one launcher..
BTW...it's spelt NAVAL, the navel is a thing in ones belly.

Here's the correct link: http://www.combinedops.com/US%20LANDING%...ROCKET.htm
Spaces aren't allowed in URL's, so proper web programming is to never name a file with spaces, otherwise the browser will auto-insert ascii code (%20) for the space. Fascinating, right?
