Looking for an opponent!
Hello!
I have played the PZC games for a few weeks now and I really got stuck into it. But the AI starts to become a bit boring and it would be fun to meet a real person on the battlefield instead!
I own Kursk and Normandy at the moment, since I'm pretty new to this it would be fun to have someone learn me some tips and tricks.
Send me a message if you are interested in a battle of any length I return several turns a week.
Regards,
Hampi90

Thank you Rick! :) Hope to find some nice people to play against which hopefully will be a bit more though than the AI in the games. :p

RE: Looking for an opponent!
Well Hampi90, you found the right place to look for good people! :)
If you enjoyed playing the games against the AI, PBEM will be at least double the enjoyment for you.
If you haven't done so already, make sure to update your games. The HPS update page can be found here http://www.hpssims.com/Pages/updates/up_...es_PzC.asp
If you are looking for art and/or map mods, let us know. There are some really good ones out there.
Good Luck!

Thanks for your welcome!
I think I have the latest updates but I shall check again just to be sure. :)
I'm looking at Jison's map mod it looks really nice and I think I shall install it as quickly as possible.
Btw I'm thinking of buying another PzC game, is Kharkov '43 a good game? I see a loot of AAR:s when they are playing this game so it looks like it's quite popular.

RE: Looking for an opponent!
Kharkov '43 is the latest in the series of great games, so it has more visibility than some of the games. That said, yes it is a good one, and probably is a relatively good game for those with less experience as the unit density is low.
But I would suggest buying whatever title covers a subject you are interested in - there are some very mobile battles, some are very methodical, and many have a mix, including attack/counterattack battles (Kharkov '42 is probably the best for that specifically, I feel). So post what you like and we can give advice. I will say the 2 you have are much more toward the static/methodical side than the vast majority of the games, as their unit density is quite high.
The desert/North Africa titles are probably the most fluid, and Stalingrad/Smolensk/Kharkov '42/Market Garden are all fairly mobile also - along with Minsk and Budapest.

Hampi90,
I'm not sure if you are aware of it however, over at John Tiller's web site, there is a free Mini PzC game called Mius'43.
You can find it here.
http://johntillersoftware.com/Demos.php
It comes with a really informative Players Guide that will help you out.

Rick: Right, I,m pretty intrested in Mansteins counteroffensive after I just recently finished a book about the battle of Kursk. So it Would be fun to fight the campaign that preceded Kursk.
But I have also looked at Kharkov '42 and Stalingrad they also looks very good I think.
Checkmate: I had missed that one, thanks! Will try it out when I get home from work.

RE: Looking for an opponent!
Hi,
Firstly I would like to add my welcome to those above. Hope you enjoy it here.
If you're still looking for an opponenet drop me an email at:
[email protected]
I have Kursk '43 so can give you a game from there (something short to get started maybe?) I don't know about being able to give you any hints and tips as I've mostly played against the AI too and have only played a few PBEM games myself but hopefully that will mean we're fairly evenly matched?
Anyway, let me know if you would like to set up a game.
Andy

Thank you ajtateson!
An email is on it's way to you, a shorter scenario would probably be good to start with I think! :)
It's also a good thing that we are almost evenly matched.
