New sub-forum?

New sub-forum?
:soap:

I would like to request a new sub forum to be introduced to Campaign Series:

Campaign Series Hosted Modifications

I would like to have my thread "Modding JTCS - What is possible now, and how far can we go?" to be moved there.

I would then create a thread there to host my alternative Allied Finland EF mod there. It would include changes to existing Axis Finland units as well, as I am with the help of Jason able to do those.

Perhaps Mike / Warhorse could create a thread there to introduce his K'talan mods as well, and to bring news on latest updates etc.

The purpose of the new sub forum would be to raise awareness to modding JTCS, encourage others to create their own little JTCS-intepretations there, and to indeed provide a home for the hosted modifications universe.

Put it up with the Tournaments, Scenario of the month, and H2H productions?

I like the idea! It will give all you modders a home! :smoke:

cheers

I like it, if it's not a hassle for the moderators or whomever would handle it?! I have Rapidshare to host my files, but am afraid a lot of times that items get lost down-thread if not hit enough times?

Mike

Mike,

I am sure it can be done. It would be a simple click of a button.
If it is a matter of space, they could delete the "Tournaments Area" or the
"CS AAR/DAR Forums" sections.
They could also make your link to host/share the files as part of a sticky to keep it on top of the list in that section.

cheers

Forums in 'Campaign Series' box is what I had in my mind as well.

There are five sub forums there at the moment. Hopefully sixth could be added without deleting any existing forums?

Agree! I think a modders sub-forum is a great idea! Big Grin

Sandwich it between the CS AAR/DAR and H2H Forums! :eek1:

Thanks a ton Antoni! cheers

To keep things tidy and neat, perhaps we could arrange it as the Tournament Area, with a sub forum for each hosted modification.

If possible, could you add a sub forum called Lapland War under the hosted modification forum.

Possibly for Mike / Warhorse, a sub forum called K'talan Mods, inspired by Harry Turtledove's alternate history series...

Each subforum would contain all the discussion threads, installation instruction and FAQ threads neatly in one location.

A bit grandiose, for the little mod I have in mind, perhaps. But alas...

Thanks again
