Market Garden Campaign
Generals,
I am currently playing the Market Garden scenario "The Long Shot" and the scenario is jumping out at me as a great idea for a WF Linked Campaign. The scenario is pretty good but I think it would play better as a campaign. So, I am posting here to see if there is any interest. It will be a linked team game with 3 players per side using my campaign format for the duration of the battle. I will be using the map and OOB( all battalion assets will be included) from the Longshot scenario with required modifications to fit a campaign.

If interested please post here.......slots will be filled replies to this post in the order they are received...also if you have a side preference list that as well.

If no response then I guess my idea wasn't that good :-)

Hi VE,

Sounds great, I would love to try it. Don't really have space on my dancecard but maybe I can clear some by the time you kick-off so count me in.

Regards,
Ashley

RE: Market Garden Campaign
OK we have JRTXX,Tiger88 and, kernelt as the defenders of the Reich. The Allies will be commanded by Bioman,Wolfman and,Ashcloud.Next phase is to have JRTXX and Wolfman email me at epurington(at)roadrunner(dot)com. I think I already have the rest in my address list. Secondly the teams should choose a CIC and notify me of same. I will be sending map file and info soon.

I will ask the CICs to assign the commands and sectors. The sectors are clearly defined on the map by impassable hexs. They are roughly the entry from Eindhoven,Nijmegen area, and Arnhem area. Those of you that have played linked campaigns will know the drill and hopefully you can help those that have never played one before as each side has one player that has been involved in a campaign.

We will be starting from Sept 17,1944 and continue to Sept 25,1944 or until one side surrenders whichever comes first. A scenario will consist of one day real time and at the end of each day I will give you the results which are reported on the CS Ladder.

I hope you all enjoy the experience and I wish you good luck.

RE: Market Garden Campaign
Did everyone get the emails with the map file? Hopefully you are communicating with your team mates. I am still waiting for JRTXX to respond via email.

Talk to me guys....radio silence does not apply here :-)
