New to TOAW III
After years of only playing PzC/MC and Combat Mission for my PBEM wargaming, I finally got around to picking up this game and am keen to start a match soon.

I have a few questions while I familiarize myself with the game, hope some of you are willing to kickstart me:

1. I am already annoyed at the what appears to be 1024x768 max resolution of the game (that is the actual map). Is there any way to have the map fill up my screen (1900x1200)?
2. Manual, should I read it before playing anything vs. AI?
3. Any must have mods? And what is the best resource for custom scenario's and such?
4. What version of the game is the one that people tend to use for PBEM?

Cheers,

Aditia

Hi Aditia,
good news, another into the TOAW pit :) hope you will be pleased to play the game.

For your question, I don't really know as I haven't try to fill up the game on the screen but for the other 3 question:
2 - I think that the manual is the right entry point for any game, if you don't have time or don't want to read it I suggest you to intensively play the tutorial game and check every variable, information and so on because everything it's important in TOAW.

3 - No must have mods but you can have some graphics mod, i know 2 of them Telumar and Jmass (that I use in combination) (check my link where I have uploaded the latest Jmass mod, http://warhut.wordpress.com/toaw-utility/ ). For scenario I use Rugged Defense.

4 - The latest version, actually 3.4.0.202

Hope to see you in the battlefield :) Helmet Wink
