Need help finding information

I just got El Al 42 and I'm reading over things. I'm not finding information on what exactly are the alternative and optional options for the scenarios. I only found some info on 'Alternate Assault Resolution'. I have read the PDF files and the word documents and I can't find anything....:im lost:

I know this is a probably an easy answer, I just don't know where to look, can someone please assist me on this?

Open the game and start any scenario. When The A/I selection dialog opens click on the rules button. This will open the Optional Rules Dialog. Click on the Default button to see the default rule set for the game. Every title has a set of default rules that can viewed in this way.

For further information about the optional rules click on the Help button to the right of the Default button in the Optional Rules Dialog.

As Chad said reading the OPt rules thread should help.

IMO if you are playing a stock scenario (i.e. a scenario that came with the game) then stick to the default Opt rules as DS suggested in post #2, if you are playing one of Volcano Mans _Alt scenarios that you DL from his site then use the Opt rules that he specifies.

The Opt rules do cause a lot of confusion judging by the amount of posts we get about them, if in doubt stick to the default.
