Patrolling and Deception Units

Does patrolling negate the deception effects of deception units as it does with partisan units?

It only impacts partisans, which is clearly described in the User Manual. However, from an earlier discussion here and some testing/experience, I believe it only impacts partisan units when they aren't deployed as deception units - in other words when the partisan unit is still deployed as a normal unit - it still has deception abilities at this point and patrolling blocks them. However, once deployed as a deception unit - no longer a unit - the partisan is treated as a deception unit and patrolling no longer impacts it, from what I remember.
