Longest Day scenario
Generals,
I can get this scenario to load for standard play. However when I try to start a PBEM game the scenario loads but skips the save option and goes directly to Allied turn one. Then when I try to continue the whole thing freezes up the comp. Ashcloud tried and had the same problem........anyone else or ideas?

Hmm, me and Death Dealer started playing that scenario, think we got 9 or more turns into it, was just too big for me to stick with it, but played just fine?! I still have the save, but don't know his password or anything, just couldn't bear to delete it, after all the hours involved in it! I even ran a couple of the replays, which I NEVER do, and it never misbehaved?

I think my computer is just too old to handle the size. Not enough cpu and memory is all...

That might do it, although mine is old too, it still has a single P4 3ghz processor, and 3gb of ram, are you close to that?

RE: Longest Day scenario
If I recall, each turn took between 7 and 10 minutes to load. At first I thought the game wasn't working because of the 'not responding' message...so I clicked on 'wait for the program to respond'...then lo and behold after heading downstairs for a tasty beverage then heading back upstairs to the computer- the turn loaded. So it became a normal ritual to begin the turn then patiently do something else until it loaded...

I just don't have that much gaming time available that I can wait that long for the game to load.............anyway we have selected something else to play which does load while you watch :-)
