What? The second year? I´m really patient with my opponents because I know how it is to have trouble in real life (see current illness). So I wait for weeks or even months - but a year? Never!!! Sorry!!! But then one should start a new game if issues are solved.

What makes me wonder is he answered very regular and quick for a great part of the time. I hope there is no serious problem in real life for him.

it went quiet for a month or two recently, but we've exchanged a couple of files over the last week or so.

I have a feeling his English isn't great, so stuff may be difficult to explain.

I stand corrected ! As of the 7th of October, we have been playing the same scenario for one year! happy anniversary ! .. Still not finished a 38 turn game..
