Reporting a game - victory level (mine or the scenario?)

I really should get some sort of award for asking questions so-stupid-no-one-appears-to-have-asked-them-before (I've searched), but here goes:

when I am reporting a game, and it asks "What was the result?" and lists everything from "victory" to "loss", is that my victory level or as reported in the end-of-scenario report? For example, the scenario end report said "Allied Major Defeat", but I was Axis. Do I report "Major Victory" or "Major Loss"?

Somehow in the games I've reported so far I've got it right, but I always scratch my head....

Please... no question should ever be labeled "stupid." How else will you learn if you don't ask?

In a PBeM match, usually, the victor will report his results. In the example you cited... with an "Allied Major Defeat"... and you as the Axis... you would report the match as an "Axis Major Victory."

Now... if you were the Allied player and the end of scenario report was an "Allied Major Defeat"... you would report the match as an "Allied Major Defeat."

Actually, the particular box doesn't say "Allied" or "Axis", but just "Major Victory" or "Major Loss" etc. (and hence my confusion) But I take the point that I am reporting my level of victory.... and have just done that and it's worked, so thanks.
