Moscow '42 question

Moscow '42 question
Hi guys, I shook the dust off and have been gaming again recently, after a lengthy hiatus. I just downloaded Moscow '42 from the Tiller website and went to download the Volcano Man Mod like always but saw there isn't one? I found a map mod for it?

Can you help out a rusty vet with some answers or points in the right direction?!

Hi Jon,

Kharkov '43, Tunisia '43 & Moscow '42 were built by the team using Volcano Man's values.

The Volcano Man values have been used to standardize all unit profiles for Panzer Campaigns & the new Panzer Battles series for the last couple of years.

Ed also had improved graphics and with the gradual improvement of the look of the games since Kharkov, there has been less need for a graphical makeover.

Oh really?
I knew his work was damned good but that it even made it up the chain and got set as standard into new releases is very impressive!
It wonders me a bit that his name isn't mentioned on the product pages of these JTS releases, a "Special thanks to..." should have been the least.

No, I haven't contributed any artwork to the released games, but what he means is that the standard graphics have improved to make it less necessary. ;)

I also haven't had much free time to make mods these days either, with all the work on another game series *cough cough*.

Well he was talking about values so I was thinking of your changes to certain in-game values collected in the McNamara db.

A special mention for Ed should be included. As the project manager for Kharkov '43, Moscow '42 & Panzer Battles: Kursk, I'll take the responsibility (blame?) for that oversight.

Ed has driven the standardisation of all values across the above and this will be the case for future titles. Ed maintains the McNamara database and this is no small task in itself.

As far as graphics, Ed's work has set the benchmark that we used to improve the official artwork. We think we finally met (and possibly exceeded) that with the Panzer Battles: Kursk release. That was my personal aim anyway!

What you are seeing is a lot more collaboration between a number of design teams to ensure we maximise our skills and get more titles out to you all sooner.

Ah, sorry, I thought you were referring to the artwork. Yes, I had a little something to do with the values - but just that they are being used is enough tribute for me. :)
