What's ironic in all this is that when I was reading the rules it NEVER occurred to me that anyone would surrender in a points based tourney - live and learn huh?

Yeah me neither, I expressed entirely different concerns to Raz at the start of this. I personally would fight to the last man in a tournament like this where the points matter so much. Even a handful of points could help later.

Out of curiosity, what concerns did you address - no need to answer if you don't want to -

When we do the full post mortum I'll add my 2cents. There is good chance that we will not run into it. Not a big deal either BTW.

Bummer. Not much info to go on there for discussion. WWII tanks are pretty blind if they are buttoned up. What was your tanks' tank commander's disposition?

Are you sure you don't mean the T-70s? If the commander gets killed by a sniper then all they can do is drive around and look angry. (Wish I had known that myself when we started lol)

I can tell you from my own game that the T-34s are holy terrors.

And a german PSW with a 20 mm gun destroyed one of my T34 frontal at a distance of 500 m (I`m hull down)

First the PSW shoot for aproximately 30 sec. at my tank (nothing happened and the crew didn`t see the PSW). Than I give my tank commander the order to get into the tank. But to late, the tank commander was hit by the 20 mm gun.
Than the crew left the tank and after severals rounds from the 20 mm gun the tank burned.

Yep, that was a lucky shot (I'm the German player in this one).
