RE: The Storm in the East Tournament - Round 3
I wasn't prepared for such large games with so many turns.
I'm good for 5 turns a week, maybe more depending what my wife has planned on the weekend ;)
This scenario could take me many months to finish (October, November maybe December?) and I think it would not be fair to my opponents to drag it on like that.
Both my opponents were prepared to play at least 2 turns a day plus several extra on the weekends.
Not having played a Blitz tournament I assumed this was the norm.
The first scenario was right on the edge of what I could do to maintain that pace, especially when they started to overlap.
I know what it takes to put a tournament together, having done a few at the WeBoB back in the day, and I appreciate very much the work raz has put in for this.
For the next tournament I will be sure to ask upfront about the sizes of the scenarios for each round and what the desired turn rate per week that will be expected.
Lesson learned.
Best of luck to everyone in the rest of the tournament,
Ted

As I understand it, peipertj will not be able to play me in this round. No rush, but I am just waiting for some direction on who my opponent will be.
