winSPMBT Humlebaek Nightmare

I'm looking for an opponent for the following setup:


World War III has begun in Europe.

Warsaw Pact are tying to force a passage through the Belts but have been unable to break the NATO defence on southern Sjealland despite feeding considerable forces into the effort. Operations in neighbouring Sweden have met with more success and an opportunity to attempt a flanking move by landing a force north of Copenhagen presents itself.




The move, though risky, is decided upon and carried out. Aug 15 Warsaw Pact forces attempt to establish two small bridgeheads north of Copenhagen. One lasts only two hours before being overrun by counterattacking NATO forces. The second one, at HUMLEBAEK, survives the night.





Aug 16, morning – the Danes have regrouped for a counterattack, but the available forces are limited. The Poles hold a small strip of the coast north of HUMLEBAEK which they need to enlarge if the operations are to continue. Their troops have taken substantial losses and must advance with only marginal advantage in numbers. Failure to secure more ground will likely mean the end of the bridgehead...

I'd be very interested in the Polish Naval Brigade Org..., even if this set up would not be IMHO outrageous if played using regular army formations...

That looks like that tournament that never really got off the ground long ago; maybe 8 years ago?

Actually the most detailed data on Polsih Naval Brigade was available here, in my tournament. I am not mad it was deleted, but entire orbats of like 40 historical formations were removed as well... and that' s a loss for historians :E

This game can completely simulate up to brigade/regiment scale. And I love that scale.

In 1990, all 22 Projekt 770/771 assault ships were scrapped with Projekt 767 Lublin class remaining in service.
PT-76 tanks were withdrawn from service in 1995, so they probably served within battalions

Especially handy for scenario designers I think.

My experience with Blitz players is that they generally prefer "creative" OOBs in battle with mostly top of the line equipment. I have played plenty of Poland vs Germany, September 1939 games - and with few exceptions come up against  about the same amount of Pz IV tanks as fielded by a full Panzer Division, and about the same amount of SdKfz 251 as fielded by the entire Wehrmacht in 1939...

I think TO&E is more important than the OOB actually; I was able to find the Polish OOB no problem, but finding out what equipment made up a tank company in 1965 was much harder. The OOB will not allow players to create a 'realistic' buy as they don't show what should be purchased and in what amounts.

TO&Es are very hard to come by and if they can be found I have no problem putting them into a sticky, as long as the work is no copyright infringed like my article was.
