F 40 Question-Dunkirk
Looking at the pocket scenario; shows Allied (French & BEF) strength @ 97,000 men + 54,000 Belgians. That comes to c. 150,000. Yet historically 338,000 men were evacuated. What am I missing? jonny

I'm not certain, but could many of the numbers missing be Service/Support types like medical, maintenance, and communications units, along with AA units that are not in the OOB? Just a guess on my part.

RE: F 40 Question-Dunkirk
None of the PzC OoBs have realistic strengths. Their personnel counts are based on gameplay effects not historic values. Dunno why people don't use the alternate fire resolutions introduced in France '40 more. They are better for gameplay and realism...

RE: F 40 Question-Dunkirk
Well, is normal the numbers be lower, in PzC units only show the combat strength, only appear the "combat soldiers" not the support units, apart that gun-vehicle units are not adding soldier strenght.
Other point specific for Dunkirk is based in the ausence of "stragglers", not all allied soldiers in the pocket come from the combat units deployed in the area, part are survivors from other units and sure there was a lot of 2nd line units... supply units, transport, comunications... maybe to represent this they could use a solution from a nap title, in Rusia title in Verezina scen in the OOB appear a serie of "stragglers" units as a "formation" not atached to any combat unit to increase the french numbers but not the combat strenght, add in the Dunkirk scen useless combat units (with no morale, attack, defense, assault values) could help raise the numbers BUT do this force rework the victory levels.

(08-30-2018, 09:57 PM)Thanks to all of you. Yes, the 400,000 troops in the pocket were not all combat troops. Thank you all for your feedback!
