Hi All,
Last night grognardgames and I played the first SB ladder game on the Live Fire Discord Server. We played through a 10 turn scenario from Red Victory in a couple of hours and streamed the game on the server from both the German and the American points of view for others to watch.
Online play has a completely different feel to PBEM you feel much more immersed in the action, its more social as you chat with your opponent and spectators and its also nice to get a game played through in an evening rather than take two weeks over it with PBEM.
Even the fact that I was beaten didn't detract from the experience.
Later on in the evening Stejones82 and I did a demonstration game of Wolfpack, again we streamed it live, from both sides and had a couple of spectators, I did rather better in that particular game which highlighted how, as you might expect, playing against a human is very different to playing against the AI and is definitely the most satisfying way of playing the Tiller Naval series.
