RE: 3D Graphics Variants
Edit: I have the full version done. Didn't take as long as I thought.
I will post in a separate thread later on. Thanks for the idea.

RE: 3D Graphics Variants
Very good.
I am looking forward to trying this out.

In case you are itchy to try a new idea ,
I have another idea.
It will take me a while to get round too (since I want to progress further with 2D/3D Vehicles first and that takes a while -I need to get motivated,) but I thought maybe you would tinker with it.

My idea is ,the 2D infantry faces (torsos) ,maybe they could be placed in the 3D infantry files.
I dont know ,might look silly ,they may or may not need Bases.
I am not sure if you could use multiple faces in the one bmp or only a single face.
Need experimentation.
Basically it would be like playing a Board Game with cardboard counters for infantry and small say 1/285 scale micro armour. I have actually done this.
I have not even made a Gimp proxy for this yet.
Thats my other idea.

RE: 3D Graphics Variants
I have made a new version of the Vietnam Mod.
This version includes little bases for the Vehicles.
Same otherwise.

Download,

Vietnam Mod Vehicles with Bases (also includes infantry)(YOU STILL need 3D Terrain as outlined above)

RED VICTORY

With the new Squad Battles Updates I thought i would revisit my idea.

I have made some stuff for RED VICTORY.
It works with current version of game.
I have made some 3D Infantry Bases and also made the 3D Vehicles sit on Bases now.

RE: 3D Graphics Variants
With RED VICTORY ,
since 3D is supported by the game natively ,
there is no need to use the 3D Terrain element that is discussed earlier in thread.

Just use JSGME to enable one or both Mods ,dont even need to use both ,since 3D Tanks and Infantry are already in the game.
My Mods are but alternatives ,that may make the game better for you.

However ,you may also like to use the excellent 2D/3D Mod as well.
Up to you.
Certainly worth a try I think.

Few more screens of RED VICTORY.

RE: 3D Graphics Variants
I have a thread on WDS site that covers my RED VICTORY mod as well.

RED VICTORY

I have made a 2D Nato Symbol Mod. Mod is a bit of a grandiose term since it is only 1 image I have slightly modified.
I like the result.

RE: 3D Graphics Variants
I assume the file would work on AOTR.
Might work on the older games as well.
Have not tested.

I have made this though for current version of Red Victory.

I forgot to add ,this is only for Zoom Level 3.
I think the smaller Zoom levels ,1 and 2 ,may be better served with vanilla.
I will test this though.
Maybe I need to make the other zoom levels as well.
I really only play with Zoom 3 and 5 for the 3D view.
