Wanting opponents please!

Greetings;

So with Cold War, I have one medium sized Scenario on the go (and its a lot of fun, even if I'm getting my butt kicked, thanks Cargol! Yes sir, I'd like another).


But my heart longs for several Tiny and Small QBs. They can be of anything composition.

Currently, I've been playing against Rando's via the PBEM+, but I've have 3 or four matches end in premature surrender from my opponent. Seriously, they still had a chance to win/tie but they give up way too quickly.

I can't promise I'll give you the fight of your life, but I will stick it out till the bitter end/ceasefire.

So if your interested, let me know! If you know someone else who want to play, let them know for me.

Hello.

I am new to multiplayer but have spent many hours in battles vs AI (mainly in CMSF2).
Also, I had read all the manuals, as well as many topics on various forums dedicated to
this wonderful series of games, so I think I understand mechanics of the game quite well.
I will be very pleased if you agree to play with me.

My preferences:
Sending saves via PBEM++. Arguable.
Result of battle will be reported to the ladder. Arguable.
The skill (difficulty level) will be set to Iron. Unarguable.

I have no other preferences, so you can choose the side, the map, and all other battle conditions.

Sorry for my bad English.

P.S. My current version of CMCW is v1.06 (Steam).

Everything sounds good to me.

Currently, there should be several Tiny and Small engagements waiting in the Challenge section of the PBEM+ menu.

Most are ME, one or two might be Assaults.

B vs R means the host is Blue, etc.

ME is Meeting Engagement, etc.

Small, Tiny is the force size (and thus the map will be near the same size)


If you don't see one you care for, we can create a new challenge in PBEM+

I checked the Challenge section. There are only two records:
*01/27/23 Xavier Rumpenheim Rumpus
*01/07/23 Idontknow Large ME

They don't look like yours, so you should probably create a new one.

My apologies with the missing challenges.

Perhaps a player is only allowed to create a limited number of challenges at any one time.

Ok, here's what I'll do.

I'm going to make two games, one B v R and the other R V B

They will have a password: blitz

these are both for you. I'll try to pick a the same map each time so you can get a feel for both sides.

I just created the two challenges.

I messed up and the first one doesn't have a password, but the second one is still 'blitz'

My old ones must have expired when no one signed up for them.

Did you accept both games, or just the one?

I'm fine with one, but if you want two in a mirror match, I'd be happy to do that too.

I took both. 

Just for checking:
I made my first turns, in which I set passwords and bought forces.
Received emails saying that challenge games was started.
Both entries from the "Challenge" section have moved to the "In Progress" section.
Then came emails that I could make a second turn.
Entries in the "In Progress" section have been updated to the turn two.
Loaded one to see if it works. Works.

Everything seems to be fine and working properly.

The second turn (first orders) is quite demanding. So I need some time
to study the map and plan the fight. But I'm sure it won't take more than two days.

Excellent. Everything you list checks out.

Take as much time as you need to plot out your turn.

If you have any questions during the battle; like how or why did I make a certain move, or how does a certain game mechanic work, etc.
