Ridley Scott directed one of the greatest movies ever, Alien. Some, regard it as the greatest science fiction movie ever made. I guess he's more in tune with outer space creepy crawlies than war movies, especially movies based on history.

RE: Ridley Scott Napoleon Movie - Depiction of Waterloo
Right. The film is utter nonsense. Also very boring. Constantly messing around with his mistress.
The few fight scenes are well done, but that's what you expect these days with the CGI possibilities.
Napoleon’s most important battle is completely missing. The Battle of the Nations at Leipzig in 1813.
How can you simply omit this battle in a Napoleon historical film?
That would be like not mentioning the Battle of Stalingrad when talking about World War II and Germany.
