One question: Is intercepting units in the reinforcement zone a generally accepted procedure? Personally, I think it's a game- and fun-killer.

Welcome to the new year! Have I broken my new years resolution yet - not quite :-)

The CMx2 Blitz ladder is playing a couple of scenarios each month. The goal is to determine how well balanced they are for H2H play. Without further ado, the scenarios played this month are:

CMRT: BP1 I'll met by Moonlight (requires Fire and Rubble and Battle Pack #1)

CMSF: The Dutch Oven (requires NATO Forces)

If interested, please post here specifying which of the above scenarios you wish to play.

For those of you unfamiliar on how the SotM works, you can see the guidelines here:

I don't play a lot of SF2, so put me down for Dutch Oven, please. I need the practice

I'm not really sure what you mean exactly. Are you saying you open the scenario in the editor and find out where the reinforcements arrive and camp out there? Most scenarios you would have to fight your way there so there's that.

Or are you talking about bombarding the setup zone? We don't usually play with a bunch of custom rules we just let the scenario play out.

I haven't played for a long time, so maybe I'm wrong. You don't need an editor for it, it's enough if you've played the scenario. That's not really a big deal.

Yes, I mean the former. You form your units with LOS on the reinforcement zone. For the other side, it would be as if they were teleported directly into a battle.

But without having a time machine Tractor

For a better understanding I have created a small slide show (see atachment). It's just an example and the result is of course extreme.
01 - Waiting for reinforcement
02 – Reinforcement have arrived
03 - The party is over
