Before they knew it they were all alone.
Smoke curled up from the burning buildings beside them and drifted in front of their
105mm Feldhaubitze. The infantry supposed to provide close protection were nowhere to be seen, probably dead. They saw their own Leopards go hell for leather in the wrong direction.
Scheisse! Where the hell was their truck!?
One man of the gun crew began to cry. Freiberg, the hot tempered NCO in charge, kicked him back to his place.

Mein Gott, here they come! Here they come!", another man yelled.
One single Russian wheeled APC came nosing through the drifting smoke, a wolf searching its prey. Half-deaf from the firing Freiberg shouted his commands:
"Load HEAT - APC treeline - four hundred - direct aim - fire by order!"
