Hey Sgt Barker,

Good idea and it does already exist ;). To issue an order like this, you select a unit, probably the HQ makes the most sense but otherwise it will be to the first higher HQ of the unit selected. Then <alt> click on the destination and when you end your turn, the AI will move that formation toward that location. You can also go to the AI menu command and choose activate AI movement to carry out all AI movement orders immediately.

A word of warning, sometimes the AI can move units by a direct route that is a little slower than sticking to good roads and moving very fast. And it ignores enemy units that might be nearby. But otherwise, it works well for long distance moves without any enemy units nearby.
