[Scorched Earth]

Hell's Corner: Sitrep turn one. Nort and Thor (allies) versus H v F and Scorched Earth.

A warm summer's afternoon, as crickets buzz in ripening fields Axis forces listen to the radio for the Fuhrer's latest speeches on how the defence of Fortress Europa continues. The Axis continues to wait for the foolhardy advance of the Allies (surrender now boys...) into Deutche terrority, greater Franconia....

The silence of the balmy days, as the Grenadiers sun themselves is rudely interrupted by shouts of Achtung Panzer!!! screams over the radio's. The line bursts into life as troops scurry for their prepared positions and await the Allied on-slaught. Two allied recon tanks emerge into the sunlight and are quickly despatched by waiting Grenadiers. Two more crest a ridge line, and blam, our 88's open up , two more can's opened up. The smell of burning wreckage chokes the air of the waiting Grenadiers......

More Allied Panzers appear, Shermans - lots of them, and bren gun carriers filled with troops. A single shot claims our 88mm, the Allies have improved their shooting. Just let those Ronsons come closer, we have a hot welcome for them, stamped made in Germany.....
