What started this thread was my questions to the dawg. I'll snip from our emails:

In a EFII game I have surrounded an improved hex with 4 or 5 German platoons in it.
7 T34s fired twice at one platoon and had no effect. What do I have to do to kill something in these games?

Just an IP with a 50pt VL. I held it with 2 tanks for a while.
I was trying to disrupt the troops to assault it. I hit it with 122mm arty first and disrupted one of four troops. No HQ in the hex.
Next turn the same thing. 7 T34 41 firing undisrupted from one hex into the hex.
I can understand a few bad dice rolls but something doesn't make sense in this instance.
So it is just a die roll? Not a rock, paper, scissors thing where I shouldn't use tanks against troops?
In the same battle, German engineers would destroy my tanks but my engineers had no effect. Is the game biased by year and country?
