In addition to what Ricky said. In PzC reinforcements can have PROTECTION areas around them to prevent players generally from sitting on the map edge to block units arriving. We first found this in Normandy when guys ran speedy AT units through the german lines in time to bloclk the arrival of Panzer Divisions.
If the arrival hex is NOT protected and occupied by a unit - the reinforcement will be blocked (assuming it isn't Airborne and such)
Quote:After a nasty shock in TFB I am not sure what will happen. In a game of TFB I overrun vast chunks of France and rather naively left some cities ungarrisoned. Only to find a French Armoured Division roaming around in my rear after they suddenly appeared as reinforcements in a city to the rear of the front line (the city was a victory point city which I contolled but had not left a garrison since it was well behind the front). I appreciate this is a different game but the experience has left me somewhat wary to say the least!
If you had sent in a file on this I could look into to for you - very hard to chase down at this point. Basicially in TFB reinforcements to arrive in city hexes and we used historical info to find these location. So I can see where this is possible. What might have been a better solution is for the reinforcment to appear earlier but deeper int he rear giving it time to more forward. That is the Nasty suprise" is not design intent and certainly won't be changed is we don't know about it.
