Normandy '44_Alt updated
Hello all,

Normandy '44_Alt art / scenario pack has just been updated and is ready for download. A big thanks to everyone who provided feedback and suggestions on how to improve it.

www.volcanomods.com

The changes are:

v.XXXIV (general)
-correction to alternate scenarios (see "Normandy44 Alternate Campaign changes" document for details)
-corrected the gamma level on the German-SS Bicycle infantry portrait

v.XVI (_Alt scenarios)

-Adjusted the defenses of the Omaha sector to more historic levels. There were several minor adjustments but the primary change is that there are now more historical weak spots in the defense where the US made their first gains.

-Corrected the missing 12th Army Group release on 0600 turn of June 7th in the #07-Utah-2a_Alt scenario.

-Corrected British engineer tanks that arrive on the 0600 turn, June 6th, to not be disrupted with the rest of the foot engineer units.

-Added the following note (due to FAQs): British Churchill AVRE (Armored Vehicle Royal Engineers) tanks do not have hard or soft attack ratings. There were part of the collection of tanks known as “Hobart’s Funnies” and the AVRE was used for assaulting fortifications and dug in enemy positions. The AVRE variant of the Churchill tank was equipped with a 290mm Spigot mortar which launched a 40lb HE shell with a maximum range of less than 150 yards (137 meters). These units have high assault ratings and should be used with engineers (of the same organization) to assault and clear dug in enemy areas.

-Corrected Canadian halftrack equipped recon infantry to be of type [men] instead of type [vehicles].

-Corrected the US 82nd and 101st Airborne Division withdrawals on July 1st in the 750 turn campaign, just like they are in the 750 turn stock scenario (somehow they were accidentally removed from the _Alt).

-Building off the change in v.XV, added a second catch all fix to allied units on the 0200 turn of the morning of June 7th. This was done because it was possible to have units that were adjacent to enemy units on the first night turn released for the entire night.
