Let me first of all congratulate all those, Blitz members or not, who played a role in this project.
I spent a lot of time getting software supposedly allowing me to play CS without a disc, but no joy
I note that ongoing changes are in the mill so would like to kick off a thread with some thoughts. My programming knowledge is negligible, so whether these thoughts are possible I have no idea.
1. Destruction(blowing) of major bridges over hex width rivers
2. Engineers laying minefields and perhaps wire (Specialist vehicles such as AVRE NOT included
3 Normal infantry given a mine clearance and wire clearance capability (considerably less than engineers and specialist vehicles).
4 Night/day and/or day/night changeover at a point put into a scen by the designer. (Not asking for a twilight transition period). I suppose this could include visibility changes in general
5. Maybe some new scenery
Cheers

Have to agree with all of those additions/changes. Although it is too late for the 1.03 Update, maybe they can be added at a later date.
There will be a number of other enhancements though for 1.03. I will write up a draft over the weekend of what will be included.

I only hope that the game scale is always taken into consideration when adding specific unit sets?
And, I think the Engineer planting minefields within a six minute time frame is a bit much. But, if they sit untouched for a few turns maybe a half-point mindfield can be possible?
I do not want to see the original scale messed with because everything is dependent on everything else? :pullhair: I know there are proponents of the "screw the game scale", but it has so much to do with how balanced the game is let alone a scenario's balance. :chin:
And, I agree that it is new scenarios that will be key to the game's longevity. Matrix marketing and support will be helpful. The work of the development/support team is indespensible.
I have some personal issues with the scenarios included within the new Matrix edition. Some seem to have not been closely vetted for balance, and I even found an EF one that the map has many designer flaws that were easily seen when viewing the map in 2D.
Guderian said he has found very few "blind" scenarios to play, under balanced conditions, after reporting one hundred games.
I've almost reached 1,000 game reports and have had a similar observation for quite some time.
My opponents are a little miffed when I ask them to pick our match. :curse: Especially when they ask me to "play one blind"! I may be reduced to turning off the monitor to play a scenario?
