There's no end of myths out there, but they're only believable because the US legal system of "when in doubt, sue'em" has produced some real absurdities.
One particularly absurd current legal jihad: Sue McDonald's because people got fat eating 6,000 calories a day of fried food. As if the people didn't walk their fat asses into MacD's and ask for a double quarter-pounder with cheese and fries and a large Coke; someone else made them do it.
