Monitor buying advice needed

LCD monitors can only display sharp image in one resolution (called the native resolution)..

Yes I can see i'll have to buy something only if the shop agrees to let me exchange it for a different type (or refund) if it won't work for me.

PS -Hamlet apparently had the same trouble -
