Pat...re EXIT...only if you exit at a specified EXIT Hex for your side(built into the scenario design). You then get the points value for the unit(s) removed. Exiting at other hexes does not count for points

As for exiting at other places, say to escape a hopeless situation and thus deprive your opponent of points, this has been an ethical issue that gets discussed at intervals, and looks like it will be discussed again.
