RE: Replaying moves and the patch
At the risk of going against the tide, surely if the point of introducing the "save" reporting option is to prevent gamers from saving and restarting their turns if they don't like the results, or if they want to use it to scout the map before playing their real turn (which some have actually admitted to doing in the past - and don't think it's cheating!?!), then gamers really should make sure they have enough time to complete each battle turn before starting it. If something happened to interrupt the turn, which it sometimes would, then a quick explanation would be fine... but every turn? I don't think so.
If I was playing against an opponent who continually saved throughout his turn, I would assume they are trying to gain an advantage, however much I liked or trusted them. It doesn't mean I wouldn't play them, because I play for fun, but I would assume they are cheating in some way.
I think for this to work, perhaps people should re-think the way they play the game to fit in with the change, not just say - oh, I save the game all the time but I'm not cheating, and expect everyone else to just go along with it... coz that's not really good enough. If everyone says, no saving, and sticks with it - there's no problem is there? there would never be any doubt.
The only scenario I have ever played which was too big to do in one go every time was "Showdown at Borisov" and even then you could either avoid enormous scenarios, or just play them when you get enough time... simple really.
This is obviously just my opinion, and you all have the option of not playing me if you don't agree :) but I intend to play all my turns without saving, and will expect my opponents to do the same. If you make an error in your first few moves, then live with it... if you mess it up.. then tough.
