Splitting infantry

Hey Hornet, for placing additional foxholes as fall back positions You have to push alt-F in the start up phase. But it works only if the parameter "dug in with fallbacks" or "dug in including vehicles" is adjusted at the scenario. This for the case You should have overlooked it.
I don´t know how it is in quickbattles. Do You know it?

I didn't overlook anything, I just wasn't as specific as I should have been in my post.

I was speaking about quickbattles where you are defending an attack (not assault), or for that matter, scenarios in which the Alt-F option isn't available. I figured everyone knew about the Atl-F command to place additional foxholes since it's a built-in feature that you can find in the manual. I was just talking about splitting squads as a way to gain some additional foxholes in situations where the Alt-F feature is not available to you.

I agree with JasonC in that splitting infantry can be overdone. I've only used it to gain some extra foxholes during setup, then I re-merge my units on turns one or two of the game before the attacker has time to see me.
