Merry Christmas!

The pastor at my church did a sermon last night on this exact same event.

He read the after-action report made by a British Lt documenting the exchange of beer & smokes meeting between the German & British in no-man's-land.

He went on to read about the 2 opposing officers meeting to discuss how they would resume hostilities after receiving orders from their commanders in the rear.

My pastor is a retired Army Chaplin. Many of his sermons are about events he experienced while in Vietnam & later in Korea.
