RE: NP1 D-Day to Caen
No worries Ken, happy to keep it at historical. The fog severely impacted the pre-invasion air and sea bombardment which is why the 719th garrison division is in such good shape. Similarly with the pillboxes. According to the NP designer the Canadians knew where they were and where they were facing so happy for you to get that benefit as well. The combined effect does make the fixed pillboxes more or less useless (as they are facing the wrong direction and can't shoot far anyway) but I like a challenge and I've got heaps of beserker conscripts to make up the difference.
