Can't remember an IL-2 ever been damaged by light arms

I want to recall having lost one Il-2 to 7.92mm fire, but I may be misremembering. Certainly I have lost *scores* of armor 2 attack helicopters to AK-47 fire, but that's a different story. Helicopters seem to have a high "armor bypassed for this hit" chance. Planes seem to have a low chance of same.

As I have been disappointed, when made "hit" in Apache, it has appeared harmless (shot from 12,7-mm MG = Mi-8).

Yes, your penetration 1 HMG usually, but far from always, bounces off an armor 2 copter or plane, and a bounce does nothing to deter the aircraft. I don't think that they even suffer suppression.
