RE: Russians ONLY "Little Saturn" No Germas Pls
Hey Combat Wombat, what do you think in the next round of skirting the city to the south along that major road and getting behind the airfield? I will keep pressing in the center to keep their attention. Willow what do you think of going deep, skirting the city to the north and cutting supply roads to the opponents?

Do we have another player in the south? If so I would look for him to go deep and then cut north to cut off opponent supply roads.

I'm thinking this would be more fun than getting involved in a street for street fight. If we isolate and cut off the opponent in the city, which seems to be Luftwaffe security troops, then they will be so weak as to be no problem for us to take the airfield later on.

We may be assigned addtional players and I would feed them onto the flanks as well, avoiding German strength and causing him to panic as we threaten his supply lines.

I think we have succeeded in getting the Germans to think we're going to grind into the city so curling out of the city and behind them should be fun.

Since my forces are in pretty good shape would see giving you both most of the reinforcements. I will just keep bashing my way into the city using tank fire.

The 82mm mortar batteries I bought as reinforcements will be useful to counter guns. If you keep your armor relatively together and volley fire in response to gun fire they won't be too much trouble but if you advance your armor singley they will be picked off.

There is an element of risk, in the real battle, 16th Panzer Division showed up and destroyed the Russian raiding forces but I still favor a battle of maneuver over a city grind - more fun, more interesting.

What say you?
