RE: Help please !
Thanks Scud ! - I think I haven't made myself entirely clear, lol!
Firstly, the guy I'm playing with, we share a long history of playing together and both have complete trust in each other, so that is not a problem.
What I'm endeavouring to do is, the game is about 200 turns and I'm building a military map showing the actions, advances etc, every 30/40 turns, just as a record. What I really want to know is, when I've ended my turn at say turn 40 and ready to e-mail it, can I 'save as' , to enable me look at later, to plot the actions on my military map, using a different.bte name, whilst still being able to 'save' for the purposes of sending the actual game file? The game would still be 'playing blind' so no cheating would be carried out. The military map is akin to you having a large, printed map and drawing actions and intended moves on it, for your own purposes. The map is 400x400 so you get a better overview of whats going on then you can looking at a segment of the map shown on screen? It's just a record of the game for prosperity's sake, lol!
I guess your suggestion of trying it out with a test scenario is the answer, I just wondered if anyone knew for definite in case I've played the turn, (a long time involved) and then find I crash the game.
A bit long winded Scud but I hope this clarifies it better, lol!
Thanks for your assistance btw!
regards
Peter
