RE: Why visibility suddenly to 1 hex?
More on the weather files.
The weather file in my Danube Front game folder, for the first few days looks like this:
10 6 1985 80 20 0 0 0 2 3
11 6 1985 100 0 0 0 0 2 4
12 6 1985 100 0 0 0 0 2 3
13 6 1985 100 0 0 0 0 3 4
14 6 1985 100 0 0 0 0 4 5
15 6 1985 80 20 0 0 0 2 4
16 6 1985 100 0 0 0 0 3 4
17 6 1985 100 0 0 0 0 2 3
18 6 1985 100 0 0 0 0 2 3
19 6 1985 70 30 0 0 0 1 2
the weather file copied from this thread is different.
10 6 1985 80 20 0 0 0 3 5
11 6 1985 100 0 0 0 0 3 4
12 6 1985 100 0 0 0 0 4 5
13 6 1985 100 0 0 0 0 4 5
14 6 1985 100 0 0 0 0 4 5
15 6 1985 80 20 0 0 0 2 4
16 6 1985 100 0 0 0 0 3 4
17 6 1985 100 0 0 0 0 2 3
18 6 1985 100 0 0 0 0 2 3
19 6 1985 70 30 0 0 0 1 2
The last day is the same but you can see a lot of other differences. The weather.dat file is only read on the SIDE ONE players game so you can see if SIDE ONE was using the second file, the 13th of Jun could have vis=5 while if the player SIDE TWO had the game default file, he would see the max vis=4 and think something was wrong.
The file being shown in this thread appears to be from the FULDA GAP game. There were some players who complained about the weather in that game and as I didn't design it, so it wasn't my game to"fix"! But I did correct things for NGP and Danube Front default game and this correction appears to be overwritten with the mod that was based on the older FG Game by this Mod.
As long as players like the values, it doesn't matter to me, but I could see where it could get confusing when players were using different weather.dat files.
I think a similar thing may have happened with PDT values as well as I recall.
